Ivabradine for systolic heart failure

Ivabradine works in the sinoatrial node to prolong dia-stolic depolarization and reduce heart rate. In patients with chronic systolic heart failure, this drug has reduced the risk of hospitalization when used in combination with other optimal pharmacotherapy.
