摘要

This past decade, the European Commission (EC) assesses the economic, social and environmental impacts of the new initiatives and policies that will be proposed. Therefore, many researches have been conducted to assess the impact of various EU policies. These researches propose different Impact Assessment (IA) processes based on the wide range of frameworks and methodologies found in the literature, related to the impact assessment. This paper aims at proposing a step by step impact assessment process for the evaluation of the Rural Development Plan (RDP) measures. RDP measures are part of the second pillar of the European Union (EU) Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In order to understand the application of this proposed process, the 121 measure called Modernisation of Agricultural Holdings of the Greek RDP was chosen. The implementation sample for testing this process in field conditions were farmers, participating in this measure, from the region of Central Macedonia in Greece. The evaluation in each phase of the process offers the opportunity to record the advantages and disadvantages of each step.
