摘要

An unconditionally stable (US) wave equation (WE) perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition is implemented for two-dimensional (2-D) open region finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation by virtue of weighted Laguerre polynomial expansion. This novel PML preserves unconditional stability as well as comparative accuracy to the original wave equation PML (WEPML). Numerical examples are included to verify high accuracy and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
