Steady-state analysis of high-voltage gain multiple series Z-source inverter

摘要

In this study, a new topology for multiple series Z-source inverter is proposed. The proposed topology only with one dc power source can generate output voltage higher than the conventional converter. This inverter has low voltage stress on capacitors and common ground between the input source and inverter. Also, the proposed topology with soft-start strategy has inherent ability to reduce inrush-current at start-up. First, different operating modes of the proposed inverter are investigated. Then, the voltage and current of elements and also voltage gain of the inverter are extracted. The comparison results of the proposed and conventional topologies show the advantages of the proposed topology. To verify the correctness operation of the proposed topology, the simulation and experimental results are used.
