摘要

With the increasingly dispersed generation of electricity in LV networks voltage problems become the main obstacle to increase installed capacity and renewable electricity generation. The application of new information and communication technologies to monitor and control distribution networks (smart grid technologies), in addition to energy storage, offers new solutions to the problem, but their economic feasibility is often questionable. The paper deals with an analysis of economic aspects of selected voltage control methods in LV distribution networks with a high penetration of PV installations in residential, sub-urban areas. Only slow voltage fluctuations related to generation and consumption balance are considered. This is a theoretical study using a rural area test LV feeder and real consumption and generation data, including both thermal and electrical loads. The feasibility of smart grid active network management, including generation curtailment, reactive power control using inverters of PV installations and electrical and thermal storage facilities are analysed and compared with old methods for voltage problem solution like reconducting or periodical transformer tap changer adjustment. The results of the study show a significant potential of a small scale synergy between energy carriers and the coordination of local electricity and heating control systems, which are still not properly considered in the planning and operation of energy systems.
