摘要

The main goal of this study was to analyze the use of blended learning methodology by academics, using the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) model as a theoretical background. Via a stratified sampling process, a sample of 445 university teachers was analyzed. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with the program AMOS.16 was used to evaluate the critical factors of the scales used and to validate the measurement model, together with testing the hypothetical relationships. Thus, the analysis of the data by linear regression equations evaluated the effect of model constructs (outcome expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions) and the effect of moderating variables considered in the study (age, gender, professional category and discipline) on the intention to use the b-learning. The results reveal that UTAUT was a useful model to explain the intention of teachers to use the blended learning methodology, with a high prediction rate in forecasting the set of independent variables on behavioral intention, 35% of the variance (R2 = 0.349, p < 0.000). Data indicates that the outcome expectancy (beta = 0.413, p < 0.001), facilitating conditions (beta = .15, p < 0.001) and social influence (beta = .14, p < 0.001) were determinant factors in the behavioral intention to use b-learning. Furthermore, we examined the moderating effect of individual variables considered. The findings highlight the contribution of such studies to universities for a better understanding of the implementation process of the blended learning methodology, facilitation and promotion.
