摘要

CdS decorated TiO2 nanotubes were successfully prepared by the combination of electrospinning and solvothermal method. By changing the reaction conditions, the CdS nanoparticles present a pine-cone shaped three-dimensional (3D) structure. The morphology and composition of the resulting hybrid nanotubes were tailored through changing the reaction condition. Their photocatalytic properties were evaluated by degradation of methyl orange dye under UV and visible light irradiation, and showing enhanced photocatalytic activity compared with pure TiO2 and CdS counterparts. Which may have a good potential application in solving environmental problems, providing a simple and efficient method for manufacturing hollow tubes.
