O trabalho tem como objetivo trazer alguns elementos de reflex o para pensar a quest o da velhice a partir da concep o de curso de vida e da Teoria da Atividade, apoiando-se, especialmente, nos textos de Anita N谷ri e nas obras por ela organizadas. A partir de um olhar, que se distancia do senso comum, sobre cen芍rios e fatos do cotidiano, analisando not赤cias veiculadas pela imprensa, chamamos a aten o para a ideologiza o do discurso sobre a velhice e para o confronto necess芍rio entre os resultados das pesquisas sobre o tema e os conceitos assimilados de forma acr赤tica pela sociedade. This article is part of the research %26quot;Affective manifestations of the hospitalized elderly%26quot;, developed from a multidisciplinary perspective.The work has the objective to bring up some reflection elements, to consider the question of the old age, from the life course conception and the Theory of Activity, supporting itself, especially, in the texts of Anita N谷ri and in the works organized by her. From a view that is distant from the common sense, about daily scenes and facts, analyzing press news, we call the attention to the ideologization of the speech on old age and the necessary confrontation between the results of the research on the subject and the uncritical concepts assimilated by society.
