The design of movie poster can reflect the level and connotation of the whole movie to a certain extent, which plays a very important role in film publicity and is the first impression of the film. In order to study the status quo of film poster design in China in recent ten years, a questionnaire survey was conducted on ten poster films with the best box office performance from 2006 to 2015 based on multi - modal visual analysis model. The results of the questionnaire analysis show that the majority of people believe that China's poster design in the expression level is good, but in the content layer is the lack of more, and actors and film information are the most important elements of modern audiences.
