摘要
A small linear peptide of 11 amino acids (NTLCCEGCMCY-COOH) has been designed and synthesized based on cysteine framework (CC-C-C) of alpha-conotoxins and some amino acid residues of natural Conus imperialis conotoxin. In CH3COONH4 or NH4HCO3 buffer, this peptide form only one oxidative product with disulfide connectivity "C(1)-C(4), C(2)-C(3)" which is different from main forms of alpha-conotoxins [C(1)-C(3), C(2)-C(4)]. This mimetic alpha-conotoxin peptide possesses analgesic activity and contains most concentrated disulfide bridges reported to date, and could be used as drug design template.
