摘要

Aims: The acceptance of control-oriented and non-abstinence treatment goals by addiction professionals is internationally well studied, inter alia by Davis und Rosenberg (2012) in the United States. In Germany there is also an ongoing discussion on controlled consumption for quite a long time, but data on acceptance from inside the addiction help system are still lacking. Method: Using an internationally established item pool in a web-based survey all outpatient addiction counseling institutions in Bavaria were asked for acceptability ratings of non-abstinence goals under 12 different therapy conditions: controlled consumption as an intermediate or final goal in the treatment of clients with alcohol, illegal drugs, or tobacco abuse or dependence. Results: Overall acceptance is greater than rejection. But there are differences depending on the therapy condition under consideration: controlled consumption is more acceptable as an intermediate goal than as a final one. Acceptability is higher for abuse than for dependence, and higher for alcohol than for illegal drugs. Conclusions: This structure of results replicates international findings. But mean acceptability ratings for controlled consumption as treatment goal are remarkably higher in Bavaria than in the United States and lower than in Great Britain.
