A fast Bortz-Kalos-Lebowitz kinetic Monte Carlo model for the prediction of rates of strain ageing in ultra-low-carbon strip steel is presented. The new model is shown to accurately predict rates of ageing over the temperature range 50-100 degrees C and to display t(2/3) kinetics.
