ERGODIC PROPERTIES OF LINEAR OPERATORS

Let T be a bounded linear operator on a Banach space X. We prove some properties of X(1) = {z is an element of X : (n) (lim) Sigma(n)(k=1) T(k)Z/k exists} and we construct an operator T such that (lim)(n)parallel to T(n)/n parallel to = 0 but (I - T)X is not included in X(1).
