Preparation of Keggin-type polyoxometalate hybrid nanomaterial with one pot multicomponent reaction in reverse micelle nanoreactors

We report a novel successful one pot preparation of Keggin-type (CTA)(3)PMo12O40 (CTA = cetyltrimethylammonium cation) hybrid nanomaterial by microemulsion method. The (CTA)(3)PMo12O40 nanoparticles was formed by direct addition of aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid to reverse micelles containing Na2MoO4 and Na2HPO4. The product was found to be nearly uniform spherical nanoparticles with 20-30 nm size.
