摘要

If a Tyrolean weir is used as a water intake on hydropower locations where space is limited, a twofold deflection of the water flow in the weir canal might be necessary. In such cases the theoretical approaches in the literature underestimate the canal depth and the rack length. In this paper the weir canal flow is simulated with a one-dimensional approach. It is extended by the effects of secondary flows in the curves. Using the MATLAB pdepe-tool, the water surface profile in the weir canal could be determined numerically. The calibration was based on a laboratory model for a Tyrolean weir in Switzerland. By implementing the numerical model in a stand-alone-application, the program can also be passed on to other users.
