摘要

The wormhole attack is a severe security threat against wireless sensor networks that is particularly challenging to detect and prevent. In this paper, abnormal nodes are firstly found out through comparing node degree with a given threshold, then the set of nodes attacked by whichever of two attackers is constructed in a distributed way, from which we can determine whether there is a wormhole attack. The proposed approach not only requires neither global topology information or special hardware, but also can reduce the corresponding security risks through distinguishing normal neighbors from illusive ones. As only nodes in attack regions get involved, sensor nodes in our scheme consume much less energy and algorithm complexity also get reduced. We present simulation results for models with different parameters, and show that the algorithm is able to detect wormhole attacks with a 100% detection and 0% false alarm probabilities using proper parameters.
