摘要

In the present paper, we update the existing information on the distribution of butterflies in the province of Cuenca (Spain). The species Lycaena bleusei, collected at Canizares (10-VIII-2010, M. Vindel leg.) is recorded from this province for the first time. This, together with Callophrys avis (recently added to the record list of Cuenca) raises the total number of species of the province to 148, which means that it is one of the provinces with the highest species richness in the Iberian Peninsula. We have also increased our knowledge of the distribution of 135 species in 65 UTM 10 x 10 squares.
