A new 3D Ni(II)-MOF {[Ni-3(ImhedpH)(2)(4,4'-bipy)]center dot 4,4'-bipy center dot 4H(2)O}(n) (1), based on 2-(1-imidazole)-1-hydroxyl-1,1'-ethylidenediphosphonate and 4,4'-bipyridyl, is presented, which possesses a (4,4)-connected frl-(4(2).6(4))(4)(6(4).8(2)) network and shows ferrimagnetism and field-induced magnetic transition from ferrimagnetism to fully polarized state.
