摘要
We carry out experimental studies of second harmonic Cerenkov radiation in the bulk birefringent quadratic medium without any quadratic chi((2)) modulation. We give a detailed investigation on the phase matching condition of frequency conversion process and the spatial distribution of Cerenkov patterns. We analyze the intensity dependence of the emitted Cerenkov waves on the polarization and wavelengths of the incident fundamental wave. We show that the experimental results closely follow the theoretical predictions.
