摘要
A novel reaction of terminal arylacetylenes with sulfonyl chlorides was performed in the presence of a silver(I) catalyst. Vinyl sulfones were obtained in 47%similar to 72% yields. A free radical mechanism for the catalytic cycle has been proposed to account for the formation of products and the stereochemical outcome of vinyl sulfones.
