In this study, we determined that aortic stiffness was lower and aortic distensibility was higher in nonobese women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) who had similar characteristics with the control group in terms of lipid profile and insulin resistance. In the absence of traditional cardiovascular risk factors, it seems that there is no predisposition to atherosclerosis in nonobese women with PCOS. (Fertil Steril (R) 2010;94:2402-5.
