摘要

Geometric inaccuracy and uneven thickness distribution are the two major challenges in incremental sheet forming (ISF). To overcome these problems, a novel multi-pass double side incremental forming (DSIF) strategy was proposed in this paper. In this approach, the principles of electric field method and the equal-potential lines were employed. The experiments of two complex parts with a step feature suggest that by using the multi-pass DSIF strategy, a higher geometric accuracy and more uniform thickness distribution can be obtained.
