摘要

The superior stability of mean wavelength is an important condition for the scale factor's stability of FOG(Fiber Optic Gyroscope). Since the mean wavelength is varied with the outside temperature. In order to get better output characteristic of the optical source, the pump temperature of optical source must be precisely controlled to guarantee the output characteristics of optical source. In this paper, a new automatic temperature control technology based on FPGA and MAX1968 for the optical source used for gyroscope is demonstrated, and a new control algorithm (steeping-in PID algorithm) is put forward. Compared with traditional PID, the main characteristic of stepping-in PID is that the parameter is changeable with temperature. The experiments show that the pump's temperature can be stabilized to within ±0.03°C, and its mean wavelength stability is high.
