摘要

Aerosol and spin methods were used for coatings on transmission films for preconcentrating organic compounds in water samples prior to IR analysis. Polymer films including polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Parafilm (TM), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (Prolene (TM)), and polyester (Mylar (TM)) have been investigated for their suitability as host substrates for characterizing organic compounds in IR analysis. The spectroscopic studies of these films provide useful information for their potential ability to be used as substrates for the deposition of sorbent coatings. Polyorganosilane (POS) was successfully coated onto polymer films by both aerosol and spin method for the analysis of benzene in water samples down to mu L/L levels.
