摘要

For ice protection systems based on heating devices, such as anti-icing systems, the engineer's goal is to use the minimum amount of energy to ensure that the critical areas are kept clear. Optimization methods and CFD can help improve existing designs, but response surface models (RSM) must be used to reduce computational costs. This article proposes an original methodology implemented together with a sequential quadratic programming optimization tool to study the design of an anti-icing system. The dual kriging method is used to build an RSM for effective heat transfer as a function of three parameters. Specific capacities of the method, such as the consideration of account numerical errors, local RSM improvement, and heat transfer distribution reconstruction, are explored. The most interesting capacity of the method includes heat transfer distribution reconstruction, which removes the need to run an additional CFD calculation with the optimal design parameters.
