摘要

The operational and mixing behavior of a rotor-stator mixer was investigated by the means of computational fluid dynamics supplemented by experiments. In the case of an isoviscous mixing dimensionless correlations were derived, which describe the operational behavior. The comparison of the numerical results with the experimental data shows a good agreement. In addition, the volume and viscosity ratios of the two components with Newtonian material properties were varied in further simulations and experiments and their influence on the mixing quality was analyzed.
