摘要

k-Anycast is a communication paradigm that is proposed to deliver a packet to any threshold k members of a set of communication group hosts. Traditional k-Anycast routing protocols select shortest path first algorithm (SPF) as its routing algorithm. But maybe SPF is not the most energy saving routing scheme if we apply k-Anycast routing protocol to wireless sensor networks (WSN). In this paper, we take advantage of the property of wireless broadcast advantage (WBA) and propose a WSN k-Anycast routing protocol based on broadcast scheme. By adjusting radio power, the sender can send one packet to multiple targets simultaneously. Comparing to sending one packet one by one to multiple targets, broadcast scheme saves much energy and increases energy efficiency. Moreover, both energy balancing and energy efficiency are optimized in the protocol. In WSN, experiment results show that performances of this protocol are improved in terms of both energy efficiency and energy balancing hence the network lifetime is optimized.
