摘要
Results from microstructural, spectral, and thermogravimetric analyses of two-component fibers of SVM-7.5 homopolymer and Rusar-5 copolymer were presented. IR spectra allowed the compositions of the homo- and copolymers to be identified and the energy of the H-bond between polyamide and benzimidazole groups of neighboring macromolecules to be estimated. Thermogravimetric analysis found that SVM-7.5 fiber was less thermally stable because its mass loss at 400A degrees C was 16.79% whereas that of Rusar-5 fiber at the same temperature was 15.73%; however, the losses at temperatures up to 300A degrees C were very insignificant, < 5.8%.
