A strategy for the parameter inversion of two-dimensional elastic wave equation based on total variation regularization method

Total variation (TV) regularization method is used for reconstructing the parameters with jump discontinuities in two-dimensional elastic wave equation. Two iterative algorithms are given, which are used to improve the accuracy of the regularization solution and reduced the influence of smoothness parameter. Based on smoothness parameter, the two algorithms constructed a sequence of problems to approach the original one. The solutions of these sequence problems are employed to approach the true solution. Numerical results demonstrated that the two iterative algorithms are authentic methods.
