The secondary growth method was used to synthesize template-free ZSM-5 zeolite membrane on the surface of α-Al2O3 support tube. The pervaporation performance of the membrane in isopropanol-water system and the effects of synthesis conditions, such as the molar ratio of Si/Al, seed concentration and the molar ratio of F/Si in the synthesis liquid, and the number of crystallizations, the crystallization time on pervaporation performance of the membrane were investigated to obtain the optimal preparation condition. The ethyl acetate dehydration by synthesized ZSM-5 membrane was carried out and the influence of operating temperature on pervaporation performance of the membrane was studied. The results indicated that the flux and separation factor of the super-hydrophilic template-free ZSM-5 zeolite membrane synthesized under the optimized condition reached 0.358 kg/(m2·h) and 10338, respectively, for isopropanol-water feed with 90% mass fraction of isopropyl, and 0.287 kg/(m2·h) and 3790, respectively, for the feed with 97% mass fraction of ethyl acetate at 70.
