摘要

A novel configuration of microstrip three parallel-coupled line structure is proposed in this letter. This new structure consists of only one section of three parallel-coupled lines to design a compact ultrawideband (UWB) bandpass filter to obtain the Federal Communications Commission%26apos;s spectrum mask. To create transmission zeros around the desired UWB passband, the middle line of the three coupled lines is extended and shortened to ground at one end. As a result, this filter significantly improves the selectivity of both edges of the UWB passband and the out-of-band characteristics. For verification, the proposed filter is designed, simulated, and fabricated where excellent agreement is obtained.
