摘要

The challenges associated with current principles of intensified insulin therapy in children, adolescents and adults with type 1 diabetes, as well as typical barriers to successful self-management in everyday life are reviewed. Problematic socio-economic risk constellations and counterproductive attitudes and expectations are some examples of major difficulties interfering with an effective diabetes treatment. Successful therapeutic measures, such as routine-oriented education courses, social advice or motivation counselling as part of the diabetes out-patient long-term care are described. Against the background of the HAPA (Health Action Process Approach) model of health behavior, measures to support long-term motivation of type 1 diabetes patients are proposed.
