Novel Rotor Design for Single-Phase Flux Switching Motor

摘要

This paper presents a novel rotor structure that enables a single-phase flux switching motor to eliminate the dead zone of torque. The basic structure and operating principle of the rotor are introduced. A three-dimensional finite-element model was built to analyze the characteristics of static torque-rotor positions. In consideration of the characteristics, a supporting winding control strategy was proposed. The validity of the novel and control strategy was proven through co-simulation analysis. A prototype was designed and manufactured on the basis of the results of finite-element analysis. A series of experiments was performed. Experimental results agree with the results of co-simulation, which verifies the effectiveness and practicability of the novel rotor.
