Absorption properties of aqueous ferrofluid modified by polyelthylenemine

摘要

A magnetic fluid modified with polyelthylenemine (PEI) was prepared by two-step methods. The samples were characterized by laser light scattering, transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FITR), thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), Zeta potential and vibration magnetometer, respectively. The PEI-modified magnetic liquid is stable and the saturation magnetization is 3.3 emu/g. The average grain size of Fe3O4is about 8 nm. The nanoparticle size of the PEI-modified magnetic fluid is about 75 nm, and the density is 1.192 g/cm, respectively. The connection between magnetic fluid and DNA was tested by electrophoresis. The results indicate that the PEI-modified magnetic liquid is a promising candidate as DNA carrier of biomedicine.
