摘要

This paper presents a new method of ultra narrow pulse measuring which can used to detect events accompany with electrical pulses emitting, such as nuclear reaction, thunderbolt and various partial discharge. And when this is used for the detection of specific events can predict or prevent the occurrence of certain disaster events. This method use ultra high speed accurate comparator array and FPGA to achieve pulse measurement in configurable time scale and amplitude scale. The time scale and amplitude scale can be quickly re-configured make the method can be used in different pulse measurement situation. The minimum size of the time scale is minimized to 10ns for waveform detail, or set to a large time to reduce the amount of measuring data. In addition, an intelligent amplitude prediction algorithm based on the signal characteristics is designed to improve the measurement accuracy. And we also designed a pulses measure system based on this method as partial discharge detection system in high voltage power systems. The good working of the system shows that the method is feasible.
