摘要
Eu2+-activated BaMgSi4O10 phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction. The crystalline phase formations were confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction measurements. The photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra of BaMgSi4O10:Eu2+ were investigated and the results were compared with those of Eu2+-doped BaMgAl10O17. BaMgSi4O10:Eu2+ presents bright blue luminescence. The dependence of the luminescence intensity of BaMgSi4O10:Eu2+ on temperatures was measured. The activation energy (Delta E) for thermal quenching was reported. The results of the luminescence efficiency and thermal stability in BaMgSi4O10:Eu2+ are discussed in relation with its crystalline structure.
