摘要

As inexpensive and relatively nontoxic metals, Fe and Co are ideal elements for the development of catalysts. Because they have multiple redox states, Fe and Co are also anticipated to have very rich catalytic chemistry. Nonetheless, very little attention has been paid to the catalysis of Fe and Co. The present review surveys reaction conditions, yields and selectivity of the C-C coupling reactions. Possible mechanisms of these intriguing reactions are discussed. Applications of these new reactions to complex molecule synthesis are also described.
