摘要

A variety of zinc oxide nanostructures have been grown using vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) process and this has been achieved by varying source to substrate distance, substrate temperature and carrier gas flow during the growth of nanostructures. Here, we report on the simultaneous synthesis of different ZnO nanostructures by VLS method under same deposition conditions. ZnO nanowires, nanosheets and hexagonal nanotowers were obtained during single deposition at various locations on Si substrate. As-deposited nanostructures have been characterized using micro-Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy which reveal oxygen deficiency in the nanostructures. The growth of ZnO nanostructures with different morphologies under the same deposition conditions is discussed by invoking the cosine law of vapor deposition.
