A {(Co9Co3III)-Co-II} dodecanuclear cluster based on o-vanillin oxime: Synthesis, structures and, properties

A new dodecanuclear cluster [(Co9Co3III)-Co-II(MeOsalox)(6)(OAc)(15)(H2O)(6)]center dot 2MeCN center dot 2H(2)O (1) (H2=3- 3-methyloxysalicylaldoxime) was synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized by IR, elemental analyses (EA), single-crystal X-ray diffraction and powder XRD. Magnetic investigations reveal that complex 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic interactions between the cobalt centers.
