About geometrically maximal manifolds

In this article, we give criteria for a geometric structure to be maximal, in the sense that any geometric embedding of this structure must be onto. As an application, we provide several classes of geometrically maximal structures, especially in the realm of conformal geometry and strictly pseudoconvex CR-structures.
