A new activator for the potassium carbonate solution in the Benfield process

The primary and secondary alkyl new activator amines-contg. was added to aq. K2CO3 and KHCO3 solns. to improve the CO2 removal from synthesis gas by absorption under lab. and industrial conditions. The new activator was much more efficient than NH(CH2CH2OH)(2) usually used for this purpose. It showed also good stability and low corrosivity.
