Update and comments on the core data set anaesthesia Version 3.01/2011

In May 2010 the new version of the core anaesthesia data set 3.0 was published in this journal. In the meantime, a number of minor bugs have been identified. Relevant suggestions by our readers prompted changes that have been accepted by the working group "Kerndatensatz 3". In addition, a number of questions addressed to the working group are commented upon herein and, where relevant, have prompted certain changes. The improved data set should now be designated version "3.01" and is fully compatible with the earlier version. In the meantime, the "anonymisation" and analysis of the data has been entrusted by the BDA and DGAI to the "Landesarztekammer Stuttgart" (contact person: Mrs. I. Dick).
