In the title compound, [Ni(C22H26N2O6)(H2O)(2)]center dot 1.5H(2)O, the Ni-II ion is in a slightly distorted octahedral coordination enviroment formed by an N2O4 donor set. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O - H center dot center dot center dot O and C - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds and C - H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions connect molecules into a three-dimensional network.
