摘要

Stable generation of quasi-monoenergetic electron beams using laser-driven plasma-based acceleration has been achieved by suppressing a nanosecond prepulse accompanying an ultrashort intense laser pulse. The probability of quasi-monoenergetic electron beam generation is close to 90%. Even with an average of more than 30 shots, the peak energy of 50 MeV and the number of electrons in the monoenergetic peak of 1.5 x 10(8) have been obtained using an 8.5-TW, 50-fs laser pulse.
