摘要

This paper analyzes the time series data of industrial production, industrial structures, and energy consumption of Beijing over 1995-2006. Employing classical linear regression models, the paper investigates the relationship between regional industrial structures and energy consumption in Beijing. Empirical results indicate that the changes in the tertiary and the primary industrial structures have important implications on energy consumption. This finding suggests that the government of Beijing should restructure the industrial structures to save energy in the new era.
