Ni-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of pyrimidin-2-yl phosphates, tosylates and pivalates with arylboronic acids were described. A wide array of functionalized pyrimidines have been prepared in impressive yields and show good tolerance towards wide substrate scope.
