摘要

Polyurethane (PU) membranes were prepared from low molecular weight polylactic acid (PLA) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) using polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) as a chain extender by solvent evaporation technique. Transdermal PU patches were prepared by loading curcumin. FTIR was used to study the polymer-drug interaction. The cytotoxic studies of the patches for biocompatibility were carried. Drug dispersion morphology of the synthesised PU membranes was analyzed using SEM. Carbon dioxide and oxygen permeability of transdermal patches were studied by gas permeation apparatus. Cell viability study described that the PLA-PDMS-HMDI based PU transdermal patches has sufficient biocompatibility.
