In the present study, dynamically coupled wave-current model was presented, which can be applied to the computations of waves and currents within or outside of the surf zone. For the computations of nearshore currents, a surface roller equation and stresses by surface roller were also included in the present numerical model. Numerical simulations on the hydraulic experiments for undertow and rip currents have been carried out, in order to see the applicability of the present numerical model in the nearshore zone. The numerical results were in good agreement with the measured ones. The present numerical model was also applied to the numerical simulation on the coastal flooding in Noksan, South Korea. The computed flooded area and inundation water depths well agreed with the measured values.
