摘要

Two frequency response filtering approaches are introduced as a plausible way to mitigate the impairments produced on an ultra wide band signal propagated through a dispersive soil medium in the microwave band. The filter takes advantage of the Brilluoin precursor formation and recovers the original pulse features not simply smoothing or removing the precursor component in order to preserve the received energy and the carried multipath information. The dispersive propagation analysis is performed in the frequency domain by estimating the frequency transfer of the underlying medium. The proposed filter can be suitable for receiver structures implementing a cross-correlation-based processing.
