摘要

The goal of the qualitative study is to investigate the cultural influences on professional context based on the discourse approach and communicative accommodation theory. A face-to-face interview is conducted to look into the content and logic of the sample discourse to verify the objective measures, the underlied motives and assumptions and validate the principles of the communicative accommodation theory. The result supports the principles of the discourse approach and the communication accommodation theory both from a foreigner’s perception on his communicative adjustment to the target culture and from the communicative adjustment between the interviewer and the interviewee.
